Superhero?

In the last 3 decades, we've gone from being exposed to about 500 ads a day to as many as 5,000 in today's ad heavy market. We get so many messages every day that we condition ourselves at easily forget anything that isn't immediately compelling and relevant. Any message that doesn't have authenticity and value to a consumer will be ignored instantly.

In today's competitive marketplace, you have to distinguish yourself just to be noticed. Take a position and become the Superhero that everyone will come to for advice.

We have come up with three proven principles to position yourself as a Superhero.

  • Establish Your Unique Selling Point
If you are offering the same service and products as your competition, then you are going to be a needle in a haystack. Ask yourself "Why should people buy from you and not your competitors?". If you can come up with a unique selling point that can distinguish yourself from the rest of your competition, reinforce that unique selling point in all your marketing strategies and ensure your prospects can clearly see why they should be buying your services or products.
  • Go Social With Your Brand
86% of Australian internet users look for other internet users' opinions and information about products, services and brands. This means you need to establish a good fan base in Facebook, Twitter and other social platforms to talk about how you can improve your product and services.
Note: Please use social media as a way to get feedback about your products rather than using it to sell your products directly as consumers are more likely to socialise, than buy in social platforms. Give free content worthy of great value to your fans as they will become your super fans and spread your brand to their friends and families.
  • Implement video marketing in your Blog
Video is a huge part of marketing online. The fact that Youtube is now owned by Google makes it a no brainer to use video in your marketing efforts. There are two advantages to using video on your website; The first obvious advantage is that you stand a higher chance of converting your prospects into leads; as people can now see compelling content that either illustrates your service or your products more in detail - in the form of a video. The second advantage is, more valuable content placed in your blog will improve the visibility of your website in Google rankings. Video blogging about your products and services will establish your company's credibility in the eyes of Google and most importantly your prospects.

In the next few weeks, we will conduct a case study on how we implemented video marketing for our clients to improve their leads and sales. In the meantime, if you have any questions on how to leverage the power of social media and video to reposition yourself as the Superhero in your niche, please speak with our consultants on 07 5538 3060.
