Instagram Video For Your Business

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then how much is a video worth? I can honestly say, I am quite addicted to Instagram. As a happy Instagrammer (Instagram User) out of the approximate 130 billion users, I post on average two to three photos a day (depending on where I've been on the day). This is not including posting for GCDS too! So imagine my excitement in late June 2013, when Instagram released video sharing capability to the world!

Watch the video below.

The famous photo sharing app is now allowing Instagram users to record a 15 seconds video and share it with your followers. You can also add filters to your video, making it more beautiful. It is true what people say that sometimes a picture is just not enough to portray everything that is happening then.

For example, it's nice to see a beautiful image of a well made and decorated meal but wouldn't it be EVEN better to watch how it was made? Here's a great example by food artist, Samantha Lee

Click the image above to watch the video of this superbly cute meal in the making!

This is her food creation on Disney's "The Princess and the Frog". Now do you see what I mean? It makes a BIG difference when you literally see everything behind the scenes.

Well... what does this mean if you are a business using Instagram? PLENTY! We can think of a lot of ways to use this nifty new feature.

  • Introducing new arrivals on your products
  • Letting customers know when your products are on sale
  • Special offers, promos and competitions
  • Shooting behind the scenes
  • What goes on in the office
  • Customer testimonials
As you can see, there are a lot of ways to use the new Instagram video feature that can benefit your business. We would love to know your thoughts on this. Leave your comments below or feel free to find us on Instagram: goldcoastdesignstudio

Instagram is available in both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
